The culmination of the Final of the National Level Musabaqah Al-Quran Reading for Adults was the presentation of prizes to the winners and participants. His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam presented the prizes. The ceremony took place at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Centre, Berakas. Also in attendance were His Majesty's sons and brother: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen AND His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah. Upon arrival His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Awang Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy; Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education; Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications, and members of the Musabaqah Executive Committee.

 

The ceremony commenced with the reading of Al-Quran verses by Mohamad Husaini bin Mahmur, an invited qari from Malaysia.

 

The Minister of Religious Affairs in his welcoming address stressed on the efforts to strengthen Al-Qur'an Learning programmes.

 

Pengiran Doctor Haji Amiruddin bin Pengiran Haji Damit, Chairman of the Panel of Judges while announcing the results of the musabaqah, urged participants to always be determined and consistent by training consistently.

 

Emerging as Champion Qari was Awangku Adi Nazri bin Pengiran Haji Jofri.

 

Champion Qariah was Dayangku Siti Ummi Syazana binti Pengiran Haji Marjuki.

 

The Champion Qari received a Seven Thousand Brunei Dollars cash prize, the Challenge Trophy; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; a Haj Package, A $5,000 Brunei Dollar Tekad Haji account from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sendirian Berhad and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad, One Gold Dinar from Balurih Travel Sendirian Berhad as well as a Brunei Woven Cloth sponsored by Syarikat Little Ummi.

 

The second placed Qari, Pengiran Muhd Amirul Aiman bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki received a cash prize of $5,000 Brunei Dollars; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; as well as a Tekad Haji account worth $2,500 Brunei dollars from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian  Berhad and one-half of a Gold Dinar from Balurih Travel Sendirian Berhad.

 

Awang Ahmad Zulwaqar bin Haji Suhaili in third place received $3,000 Brunei dollars; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; a Tekad Haji account worth $1,500 Brunei dollars from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad and one-fourth of a Gold Dinar from Balurih Travel Sendirian Berhad.

 

The Qariah champion received a $7,000 Brunei dollar-cash prize; the Challenge Trophy; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; a Tekad Haji account worth Five thousand Brunei dollars from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sendirian Berhad and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad, ONE gold Dinar from Balurih Travel Sendirian Berhad as well as a Brunei Woven Cloth sponsored by Syarikat Little Ummi.

 

The second placed Qariah, Dayang Amal Nazirah binti Haji Asmat received a cash prize of $5,000 Brunei Dollars; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; as well as a Tekad Haji account worth $2,500 Brunei dollars from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad and one-half of a Gold Dinar from Balurih Travel Sendirian Berhad.

 

In third place was Dayang Nurhaneyah binti Nordin, who received $3,000 Brunei dollars; an Accompanying Prize; Participation Certificate; a Tekad Haji account worth $1,500 Brunei dollars from Perbadanan TAIB, Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd and Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad and one-fourth of a Gold Dinar from Balurih Travel Sendirian Berhad.

 

His Majesty also presented a souvenir to the invited Qari.

 

Doa Selamat was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz AWANG Haji Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.

 

This year's Musabaqah was jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST).
